Welcome to the Chris Skundrich State Farm Insurance Agency!
I’m proud to be a licensed insurance producer serving customers across Pennsylvania, with a strong focus right here in Ephrata and throughout Lancaster and Lebanon Counties. My team and I help individuals, families, and business owners prepare for the risks of everyday life by walking through their options and making sure they feel confident in the coverage they choose. Whether it’s Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, or Life Insurance, we’re here to explain what matters, identify available discounts, and provide clear, personalized guidance based on your situation.
I began my journey with State Farm in 1995, and after more than 30 years, I still love what I do. It all started through a friendship with someone who believed deeply in the company and saw something in me before I saw it myself. That connection eventually led me to this career, and I’ve been grateful ever since—for the opportunity, the relationships, and the chance to serve this community every day.
My approach has always been simple: treat every customer like a neighbor. I’ve built my business on long-standing community relationships, hands-on service, and being someone people can count on when it matters most. When you call our office, you’ll talk to a real person who takes the time to understand your needs and walk you through your options. Insurance isn’t just paperwork—it’s about being there with care, follow-through, and a real service mindset.
I was born in western Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh area) and moved to Lancaster County as a teenager. I served in the Army for three years, graduated from Millersville University, and married my high school sweetheart, Amy—we’ve been happily married for over 34 years. Together, we’ve raised three wonderful sons: Joel, a University of Pittsburgh graduate who played rugby; Drew, a Stanford graduate who played soccer and was part of three national championship teams; and Jake, a Montana State University graduate with a passion for skiing. We’re now enjoying time with our first grandchild, which has been an incredible blessing.
Outside of the office, I stay active and enjoy golfing, hiking, skiing, boating, gardening, and working on DIY projects. I’m also proud to stay involved in the community through organizations like the Ephrata Lions Club and the Elks Club, and I’ve spent many years coaching and supporting youth sports. As a veteran, I’m especially passionate about supporting fellow veterans and giving back in meaningful ways.
In addition to serving customers across Pennsylvania, our office is conveniently located near familiar landmarks—just across from the Ephrata Business Center and close to Ephrata Hospital. We’re also proud to assist customers in multiple languages, including English, Ukrainian, and Russian.
If there’s anything my team and I can do to help you review your current coverage or explore your options, we’d love the opportunity to connect—stop by our Ephrata office, give us a call, or reach out anytime.
